Educational Philosophy
A quiet, meaning-first approach to English.
Five principles behind everything we design at LAB English.
01
Meaning first, form second.
We start with what a learner wants to understand or express. Grammar becomes a tool for meaning, never the goal itself.
02
Reading is the engine.
Sustained, purposeful reading is the single strongest driver of English fluency we know. We design every program around it.
03
Attention over intensity.
Twenty focused minutes will outlast two hurried hours. We build learning rhythms that reward attention, not exhaustion.
04
Reflection makes learning stick.
Every unit ends with a small act of reflection — a written note, a question, a re-reading — that turns input into memory.
05
The learner is the author.
Confidence grows when learners see their own progress. We use portfolios and journals in place of anxious scoring.
